How we work
Our programs bring about profound change for participants. We ask each person to look deeply and critically at themselves and their leadership role so that they can change the way they lead others. It is not an easy process, but a rewarding one.
If you are interested in one of our programs, the first thing we do is arrange a meeting to see whether Macquarie House and your organisation are a good ‘fit'. We then work out which program will best for your organisation. Next comes the program itself (usually a series of workshops combined with interviews and other activities), and finally there is the evaluation, so we can continue to improve our programs.
The Big 8 - core assumptions
So that we can work with you to a tailor a suitable program, you need to understand the philosophy on which our programs are based. Fighting the urge to glaze over at the mention of the words ‘core' and ‘assumption', please take a moment to absorb our eight core assumptions.
How we design our programs
In each program we start with what people know - their own life experiences. Participants are asked to take a systematic and profound look at their lives and the way they work with other people. In this way, change comes from within rather than being imposed externally.
Case Studies
Our programs work because we have trialed, presented and refined them over the past ten years. Existing clients keep coming back for more, and new ones keep approaching us. Here are some case studies showing some of the results of our leadership programs.
Leadership and us
Leadership is variously defined around the world. Here at Macquarie House we see it as "based on the development of abilities over a long period of time. It is not based on the acquisition of techniques or skills." The following quote succinctly captures our unique and respectful approach to leadership.
