2009 Advanced supervision and training

This group is an advanced supervision and training group for trainees who are actively applying Morenian methods in their life and work. It will involve teaching as well as participants being active learners, individually and with others. This includes supervised practice and in-depth attention to all the elements of the method. Careful supervision and unearthing of training gaps and addressing these will also occur. This group is not a closed group and if you are interested but unsure then pelase contact Peter here or call him on 0411 873 851.

Advanced and focused supervision

This series of workshops will provide a number of elements for advanced trainees to supplement their practical experience as well as encourage new peer related activities. We will take the time to consider and work with all the elements that a person is bringing forward in their application of the method. It will:
  • Focus on the specifics of how trainees are applying Morenian methods,
  • Work to expand and deepen the applied thinking and action in these areas,
  • Provide a stimulus for other ways of conceptualising their work through relating to each other,
  • Provide a structured method for ongoing supervision from Morenian applications,
  • Apply writing as a tool of learning and reflection rather than pain and suffering,
  • Use web-based discussions using structured questions inspired from the sessions.

Targeted psychodrama training

It will also work collaboratively to actively meet any perceived gaps in a trainee's development whether professional or personal. This will require trainees to become active with their primary trainers or to put themselves in a position to have a primary trainer. This work will:

  • Consider gaps in a trainee's personal and professional identity development and how to address these. This will include role theory, its application and writing
  • Identify the range of strengths that each trainee has developed and is intent on developing further,
  • Clarify any systemic issues that are holding a trainee back from completing their certification within the next few years,
The writing of a social and cultural atom or other required writing will form part of the ongoing process and supervision.

Being involved in experiential groups and training groups

There will opportunities throughout the year for these advanced trainees to join the experiential development groups as trained auxiliaries. In this role you will actively work to generate a positive group warm up. You will make ongoing group and individual analyses. You will be able to work collaboratively with the group leader to design individual and group interventions.
