The Moreno Collegium

This program is a Sociodrama training program for 2009 and is designed for change agents, OD consultants, HR managers and sociodramatists. It is also a call to all wise revolutionaries and other change agaents wotjing within and across social systems. It is being led by the highly respected and experience trainers Diz Synnot and Rollo Brown.

Participants will experience and expand their ways of revitalising the social systems where they live and work. They will become more aware of the dynamics operating in those situations and understand their roles in it and their points of influence. This first program is designed for change agents in all fields who are actively working to progress their social systems. Moreno’s methodology is a uniquely powerful meta-theory invigorating all work with systems. His life principles, shaped by role theory and sociometry and applied in sociodramatic enactment, work well with more recent advances in social systems approaches.

Participants will be invited to work on their organisational, community, family and work situations, by

• setting out and investigating the organisational, community and family systems
• experiencing the relationships and dynamics operating from different points of view
• making working hypotheses of the systems displayed and design possible interventions.
• refining interventions and further develop action plans
• expanding our role repertoires as wise revolutionaries and change agents

You are encouraged to also attend Workshop 2 for further consolidation of learning and expansion of your professional identity.


This second program builds on the focus of the first. Sociodrama has as its aim the regeneration of life in participants and in revitalising the organisations, communities and families where they live and work. The focus in this group is the further integration of the roles of the sociodrama director into your practice. We will explore what is involved in a sociodramatic approach to group life.

• Refining judgement in applying sociometric principles and role theory to analysing social systems

• Directing sociodramas with supervision
